The teak question
Teak or no teak? We build with both and tell every owner the same thing. Here is how we decide each deck.
Teak is beautiful, warm underfoot and hard to source responsibly. We only use certified plantation teak, and only where feet go.
Where we use it
Side decks, the aft deck and the beach club steps. Elsewhere we use a cork composite that stays cool in the sun and never needs oiling.
